BobbleRoos: A Big Thank You.

~My Cheeky Monkey~
We recently won a giveaway in which the prize was a BobbleRoos Toddler Blanket and pillow. As you can see by the picture above we got it delivered in the mail. Ironically, when we opened it my littlest was still in his jammies. And immediately I squealed in delight at the "kodak moment!"

And his favorite stuffed animal right now happens to be his "Cheeky Monkey" so I had to get him in the picture as well.

We chose one of the monkey designs because it happens to be a perfect fit for his personality. But they have many different fabric choices available. It was a hard choice for me as I was really torn between one of the monkey designs and a dinosaur design.

BobbleRoos offers crib sheets, pillows, blankets, washcloths, and more. They have sales going on now that you may want to take advantage of. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb. I can see this lasting for a long time. The prices are really amazing for the quality you get.

Right now on their blog they have posted an article to show how to swaddle your baby using the blankets. Following the blog and the website you can find a wealth of information.

I really want to thank them for offering their products to blogs for giveaways. They have given me a great set of pictures and memories, and I know many more to come.

A Really Fun Trip to Borders!!

So we had received four $15.00 gift cards from Borders Bookstore for Christmas this year. And I decided to finally get over there to use them up. Oh my goodness did I have fun!!!! The baby and I have been cooped up in the house for long enough and it felt like a heatwave hit yesterday so out we went. (the temperature was almost in the 40's) I have never been in a Borders bookstore before and so the adventure was new to me as well as the baby. We don't even make it past the entryway before I have four items in hand off their discount shelves.

It got worse when I actually made it inside-the sales were phenomenal. I filled my basket quicker than a speeding bullet and had to head for the checkout thinking I spent way more than i had in giftcards. Since our budget is really, really tight we could not afford to pay a bunch.

So I am standing in line trying to come up with the best excuse I could think of to give my husband when i got home. Yikes, I was then up to the register. I will announce the total later in the post. Here are the details of the pictures I took.

Keep in mind the not pictured was the HUGE America's Top Model Paper Doll and Design Book, A Transformers Calender, A cute puppies and cat calender.

The two in the back is a HUGE Flip Book with wipeoff marker for the activity pages that are in it and a HUGE Flip tab board book. Then we have the following:
~A Shrek (scratch and sniff flip tab book)
~A Melissa & Doug Block Puzzle (makes 6 puzzles)
~A Sandra Boyton Family Calendar
~A Thomas Kinkade Calendar
~A Pocket Wildflowers of North America Guide
 Here we have the following:

1 How to Draw Rain Forest and Ocean animals(kit w/colored pencils, book, eraser, drawing pencils, and DVD)

1 How to Draw Amazing Dinosaurs(kit w/colored pencils,book,eraser,drawing pencils,and DVD)

1 How to Draw Safari and Mountain Animals(kit w/colored pencils,book,eraser,drawing pencils,and DVD)

3 Bratz Books

1 Seasame Street Cookies Cookbook (Boardbook)

Set of nine little bitty chunky boardbooks of baby animals

Kellogs Posters Book - Really big book of posters and pages to color

1 Sal the Shark board book

3 Handy Manny Reader Books

1 Stuffed pig from the Sandra Boyton Books

And this picture shows the 3 Dinosaur coloring books I got that includes 4 dinosaurs each and stickers.

So how much out of pocket did I have to pay for all of this. I mean really I was sweating at the counter as they kept scanning one after another. By the time the gift cards went through I walked away with four sacks of books for the grand total of $7.17.

Yep that is correct a wee bit over $7.00- the most expensive item was the Puzzle blocks I payed $12.99 for. I about fainted but i walked through that parking lot to the car with the biggest grin you ever did see.

Product Review: Oliver's Labels

Our family was sent a sample of Oliver's Labels to try out. We chose to get these personalized labels for our littlest one, as we thought of so many uses for them for him. My kids spent what seemed forever debating (I say it was arguing but they swear they weren't) over which design to choose. They decided upon the dinosaurs (with the promise I purchase many more).

When they arrived I was overcome with the "Ohhhhh these are so CUTE!" I really did have a hard time wanting to take them off the sticker sheet. I wanted to keep them perfectly preserved! But I knew I had to. Okay, so what really happened was one of my kids came in and while I turned my head, removed a label and stuck it on the baby's bottle.

So, off I went now being forced to use them and no longer could keep them preserved. We have now labeled all his tippee cups, a few bottles, and then my daughter (she is so brilliant at times) thought a few could be used on some of our scrapbook pages in our scrapbook. Oh my goodness, I got to preserve some.

These labels have held up to alot of abuse, trust me, and yet show no signs of it. They have been washed many, many times with no falling off and floating in the dirty dish water. I really love how durable they are.

The varieties of labels are many and the designs are almost without end. Each design I found was adorable. But the best thing that I loved about this site is that they offer "Found-it" (although I did not choose to have that on our sample) tracking system. It is completely free for customers and simple to use if you ever come across a label.

I plan on getting so many more of these! The ideas for use go so far beyond my own imagination. They have packages available such as clothing, preschool, school, camp, and even a starter package. These packages range in price from $26.99-$59.99. The prices for the personalized labels varies depending on what you choose, but let me say these are high quality and worth every penny.

You can sign up for their newsletter which will keep you updated on all their important announcements. I really would encourage you to check out their easily navigated site to see what they have to offer.

Product Review: Mardi Gras Costume

Can we say perfect timing! We were so lucky to review a Mardi Gras Costume provided by Costume Supercenter.com. This fit in magnificently with my daughters get together. I chose the Mardi Gras Sexy Jester Costume Adult (it was not so sexy as to not being able to wear it in front of the kids). The cost is a reasonable $29.95, the costume includes the top and skirt. I threw on some black pantyhose and some heels I had and it was perfect.

My daughter was amazed (as well as her friends) when they saw me. They couldn't figure out how I had come up with a costume that fast. And for a while my daughter wanted to wear it but I refused to give it up. They did however love going to the website and spent over an hour looking at their selection of Mardi Gras Costumes, Masks (which they absolutely loved! and would love to decorate some of them), and every little girls and teen girls dream the beads and necklaces section.

A bit more on the costume I received: I love that it was not scratchy and was well made. I don't have to worry about the stitches coming loose. It also comes in a plastic bag that you can put the costume back into when not in use. The bag even has a way to hang it in the closet, that way you never lose it. The Jester costume fit very well as I got a medium/large (size 8-10), it also comes in size XS/Small (size 2-6).

The colors are true to Mardi Gras fashion, vibrantly bright. As you look at the available Mardi Gras costumes, they even give recommendations as to what you can also buy that would go well with it.

I did have to make a deal with my daughter that she could wear it for Halloween next year. With that said please make sure you check out this site for all it has to offer. The site is amazing.

This costume is a wonderful addition to any Mardi Gras celebration you may have or will have in the future. The prices are so reasonable as I wish I had known about this before shopping at any stores. This costume made a bunch of girls a great memory and wonderful scrapbooking pages.

Product Review: Mardi Gras Party Pack

We were once again fortunate enough to test out another great party pack from Python Printable Games. This Mardi Gras Pack could not have been planned for a better time. We had been planning a little get together with my daughters friends and they chose Mardi Gras as their theme. Probably had a lot to do with the costumes they would get to wear and all the bright colors they would get to decorate with.

The Mardi Gras Printables had the following printables in it. Keep in mind though some activities might not be able to be used with children. As with the Super Bowl Party Pack even I learned things from some of the trivia questions. Anyhow the list is as follows:

Printable Mardi Gras Party invitations
Mad Libs
I Did It For Love
Meet Your Match
Ice-Breaker
Masquerade
Left-Right Gift Exchange
five Trivia games
Newlywed Questions game
synonyms word game
Puzzles placemat
Costume Party Paper dolls
Spot the Difference for kids
Naughty or Nice food game for kids
Scavenger Hunt for kids
printable masks for children

The girls fell in love with the printable masks and the dolls. These were not only printable in color but also black and white. They really enjoyed designing their own and I loved the way they did a "fashion show" afterwards.

The next favorite was the scavenger hunt. They actually went so far as to make extra cards to go with the game. I, as a mother, loved watching them be creative and resourceful. There were so many activities that made this party pack a hit at my daughters get together.

Python Printable Games has a variety of party packs available. The Mardi Gras Party pack is worth the $19.95. They are also offering a $5.00 off coupon if you sign up for their newsletter.  And with the 30 day money back guarantee you really can't go wrong. The assortment of games they have seems endless. You can mix and match by buying only the printables you want or you can invest in one of the party packs.

Where did the time go?

With everything going on around here I didn't realize how long its been since I last posted. Where did the time go? We have been rushing here and there, dealing with this and that. There hardly has been a chance to breathe. I have so much to share and hopefully today I will be able to get caught up a bit.

I have so many plans and ideas that I want to share. But i will have to wait a few more hours to get the time to sit down and do it.
