Help Get Your Child To Dreamland With The SleepBuddy System

SleepBuddyPackage
Our family was generously offered a chance to review the SleepBuddy. The SleepBuddy is a wonderful alternative to parents who have young children with bedtime routine issues. My two year old is one of those children, that fights anytime he has to lie down, whether it be for a afternoon nap or at bedtime.

We have been struggling with this problem for months, we have tried everything we could think of. When this beautiful and carefully wrapped package was unearthed from the plain brown shipping box, instantly I began to have hope! A company that put this much careful attention to detail to a customer, just might have the answer I was seeking.

SleepBuddyInsideBox
This complete system is simple to use and well thought out.
SleepBuddy is recommended for children who are or might have problems:

In the crib and transitioning to a bed within the next 1-2 months
Currently transitioning from crib to bed, or
Sleeping in a bed but not staying through the night.

SleepBuddyCompleteSystem
The SleepBuddy kit includes the following:

A Soft Blue Light {includes adapter}
The function is to help remind kids when to stay in bed and when to get up. The light is very easy to program for naps and nighttime.

A Children’s Book

“A Bedtime Surprise” helps you introduce SleepBuddy to your kids. We read this book for the first week. It is easy for kids to understand and makes for a short bedtime story.

Rewards Chart & Smiley Stickers

These are one of the rewards to track good sleep habits in a fun way.

Parent’s Guide

This answers your questions you may have about sleep.

SleepBuddy NightLight

There are only three simple steps to get started:

You do need to show and explain SleepBuddy to your child. This is easily done by reading the children’s book that is included, to help your child understand the concept.
You can then program the soft blue light to turn on for scheduled nap time and when it is time for your child to go bed at night. Place the light in his/her room where it can be seen from the bed. We placed ours on the dresser next to the bed, where it could be seen and still be out of reach.
Simply record your child’s progress with the incentive chart and smiley stickers. When a goal is reached, choose a reward that you feel is right for your child. Since, rewards are not needed for our little one, the stickers work out just fine.

I love how the parent gets to be in charge of the reward system. I take advantage of this control and cater it to each child. That is what makes the SleepBuddy a great fit in our family. It can be used by multiple children, while using catered reward systems for each individual goals and personalities.

SleepBuddy NightLight Setting

SleepBuddy Night Light Timer
SleepBuddy Setting Instructions
You can set SleepBuddy for naps and nighttime. The times you set are stored in memory for the next day, and can easily be changed.

This function saves me from having to remember to do it each day. There is nothing worse than trying to set something up, while trying to instill a routine of naptime or bedtime.

SleepBuddy Reward Sticker Chart

The sticker chart is helpful in tracking the progress your child is making. My little one loves being able to put smiley faces on an animal. We have chosen to put two on each animal, one for nap and the other goes on for successful at bedtime. Each animal represets one day of the week.

I gauge success not by actually sleeping, but that they stay put while the light is on. This is something that I actually had to learn the first few days. I kept wanting to gauge success by actual sleep. This system is meant to help aid you in having your child follow a routine and directions, visually.

Michael and SleepBuddy NightLight Glow

You can see that the glow of the SleepBuddy is soft. It illuminates just enough that if a child did get up, they could still move around without being harmed.

We have been consistently using the SleepBuddy for about a month. While it does not work everytime, we have made significant progress in having our little one get a good rest period in. This has been especially successful at night for us.

SleepBuddy is an affordable solution at $34.95, to use with any child that might have issues with falling asleep. When a child learns the routine of the light being on or off, half of the battle is won.

Please take the time to follow SleepBuddy on Facebook and Twitter. You can stay up to date on new tips and tricks to better help your little ones.
