RedRock Insights, Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace, & Our Family

By now most of you know that I was able to attend a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace class through my church. After going through the class I took a month or so to come to a decision to really put some of the things I learned into action-for the good of our family. I know that we are supposed to start this process while we are attending the class, but I am a creature of habit. It takes a while for me to admit that what we were doing was all bad habits.

Now, I have seriously started putting things into action. By doing this only 1 month {and help with both our Federal & State returns} we have been able to get both the utility bill and the phone bill payed ahead one month. But the biggest eye-opening success came with paying off our van in a total of one year. That was something I never thought could be done, especially when we were either late some months or sacrificed a payment elsewhere to cover the van payment.

I am so excited and proud at what we have accomplished thus far. I have gathered all the resources I can on furthering this endeavour out of debt, and as Dave Ramsey puts it, "have financial peace".

I stumbled across this free resource in my searching for information. We are far from ever being able to invest, but we are on the path to being able to. One of the later steps in obtaining Financial Peace is investing, which I know next to nothing about. So, I have easily signed-up with RedRock Insights to get some basic knowledge on this area.

Okay, I will admit that the rewards that I can earn and the chance to win a iPad, played a little bit of a role in my decision as well.

Here is a quick visual of what the "Learning Center" offers you. What is nice is that each lesson or article can be easily understood. No big fancy words that only rich tycoons or upper level business people use. Just simple thoughts and explanations.
