The journey begins as the Muse Aoede starts down her path to answer her question "Is Love A Fairy Tale?" She goes searching through the magical kingdom of Wonderhaven, where she meets some very colorful characters. Each character offers up their own views on the subject of love. Honestly, I had no clue what to expect when I put the CD in to play. It didn't take long for me to realize that this was going to be an experience remembered for a long time to come. Is Love A Fairy Tale is a unique blend of audio book mixed with song, never had I listened to something like this before.
It didn't take long for my daughter to become engrossed in the sounds and story. My sons interests were piqued the second they heard the "froggy-ish" voice within the first few narrative parts. After that we were all glued to our seats, giggling along as Aeode continued her journey.
On top of the fabulous music that plays throughout Is Love A Fairy Tale, the CD cover is full of fantastic colorful graphics. The designs are magical in themselves, lending a hand to the pictures that are created as you listen to the story.
While the story is geared more to young adult girls, there was no problem getting all my kids listening to it. The best part of this, was that it opened up the difficult question about love. A topic that I was having a hard time approaching with my teens. After listening to the CD it became very easy to have a heart-to-heart conversation with my older kids.
There are 17 tracks that complete the story. Some of the songs are: you can hear a sampling of three selections by going here on the website.
Make It Up As You Go-- is a feel good, happy, catchy whistle tune that invites us to close our eyes and paint our lives the way we want to see them.
Little Things-- is a sweet ukulele-based song that reminds us it’s the simple things in life that can make us happy.

Neapolitan Day--embodies the “do it now, life’s short, don’t save it for a rainy day” attitude
Reason to Smile-- is an upbeat song with a definite circus vibe, accentuated by tuba and trombone, where Aoede remarks how life is beautiful and
“every day is a paradise.”
