I have been hearing nothing but wondrous things about Ozeri products, especially when it comes to their cookware.
When I was approached by Ozeri to do a review on one of their products, I literally jumped at the chance. While I did receive the 8" Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan to help facilitate this review, all opinions are 100% my own.
Our family is large, but I had difficulty cooking for my husband when he gets home for work. At 2:30am in the morning, I hated that all I had accomplished was a meal for one that was cooked in oversized pots & pans.
Did I mention that I also had to wash these oversized pots & pans by morning, so that I could make breakfast for the kids?
The Ozeri's 8" Frying Pan is a "Godsend" in my eyes! I use it almost solely for my husbands meals.
It is the perfect size for me to produce his dinner, and with the pan being non-stick I don't have to worry about cleaning it out before adding the next item on his menu.
I was able to cook his hashbrowns, turn them out onto a plate, then add sausage to the pan, add them to the now warming plate, and move on to the eggs. All of this in ONE pan and no cleaning!
The aforementioned meal was last nights "breakfast" dinner that I prepared for him. As he walked in the door at 2:45am, instead of a sink full of dishes he saw this! See that little arrow?
That is all that was left in the pan after all that cooking-that little bit of hashbrowns. To finish cleaning up, all I had to do was take a damp rag with a slight swipe I was done.
You have no idea how much this means to me. No sink full of dishes, no burned on food, no mess at all. Well, except that I can somehow manage to dribble raw egg yolk all over the stove.
This Ozeri 8" Frying Pan is from their Green Earth line. This frying pan features being made from Greblon, which is a ultra-safe ceramic coating made in Germany. Yes, you read that right, it is ceramic. This frying pan is heavy and very sturdy, there is no real fear of it tipping or falling off the stove. The pan is also textured to help aid in heat distribution. Let us not forget that it is also 100% PTFE and PFOA free!
There was a lot of thought that went into the construction of this pan, even down to the very comfortable silicone handle. I can not tell you how nice it is not to have to worry about burning your hands on the handles of some of my pans. The Ozeri Frying Pan does take a small bit longer to heat up because of the material it is made from, BUT it also keeps consistent temperature during use. My teenage daughter made her first perfectly toasted grilled cheese sandwich using this pan. There were no burnt edges or blackened spots anywhere, more importantly the melted cheese that seeped out-wiped out!
If you are in the market for new frying pan these are your best option I have found. This 8" frying pan can be found on Amazon for a very responsible price.
