We Had Ourselves A "Nestle" Little Christmas! Our Panda Is Forever In LOVE!

This year Nestle is offering a wonderful assortment of seasonal holiday sweets for your holiday celebration. Nestle was generous enough to offer our family a sampling of their available goodies in exchange for our thoughts.

First I have to thank them from the bottom of my heart! We found out 3 years ago that our cat, Panda, loved Butterscotch Candy Canes. When I say love, I mean obsessively love! She would lick them and then proceed to eat the whole thing.

Not one of our candy canes were safe that year, she resorted to climbing our tree to obtain her delicious new-found treat. Unfortunately, we could only find them that one year-so for the last two years we have been trying to find some for her or at least find some she liked. We failed her for two years.

This year we tried the Gobstopper ones that we received and here are the results. Amazing, huh?! I figured nobody would believe me had I not taken lots of photos, as this is what usually happens when explaining our cats candy cane fetish.

 

We are so thrilled to find Panda her favorite treat this holiday season. It is all thanks to Wonka and Nestle!

Michael was home at the time of this delivery and was the first to lay eyes upon the tasty treats inside. Hence the missing Candy Cane from the box, which occurred before I had my hands on a camera.

 

Our family received a fabulous box of Wonka Gobstopper Candy Canes. These candy canes are true to the Gobstopper fashion, both flavor changing and color changing! These were a hit with all the kids, and only a few actually ended up on our tree. I am sure by the end of the day they will have been taken down and enjoyed.

We also received a fun SweeTarts metal container. Upon opening were snack size packges of the ever famous SweeTarts. These are the perfect size to fill not only little hands, but also fill the little stockings hanging on our tree.

Nestle products have always been a main-stay in our holidays. Not one holiday has passed in 18 years that my children have not had stockings full of candy or each having the seasonal book shaped boxes with secret delights inside.

This year the newest collection of seasonal holiday treats showcase brands like Wonka, SweeTARTS, Spree, and Gobstoppers.

Now, don't forget that you can get a variety of treats all year long from Nestle, which is really just a gift from them that keeps on giving!

Cookie Ornament Cups

 

Ingredients

1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough

1 container (16 oz.) prepared white frosting, divided
Red food coloring

2 quart-size plastic food storage bags

Frosty WONKA® NERDS®, various holiday sprinkles, sugars and/or decorating gels

Mini pretzel twists, broken for ornament hook (24 hooks are needed)
24 NESTLÉ® Jingles, any flavor, unwrapped

 

PREHEAT oven to 350º F. Grease 24 mini-muffin cups. Place one square of cookie dough into each cup.

BAKE for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan(s) on wire rack. With tip of butter knife, remove cookie cups from muffin pan(s).

SPOON half of frosting into plastic bag; seal. Stir food coloring into remaining frosting in container until desired color is reached. Fill other plastic bag with colored frosting; seal. Cut 1/2-inch from corner of each bag. Squeeze bags lightly to pipe frosting on top of each cookie cup to form rounded ornament shape. Decorate with Nerds, sprinkles, sugars and/or gels. Place Nestlé Jingle on top of each. To adhere hook, use a small amount of icing.

Make Ahead Tip:
• Cookie bases can be made ahead and stored covered at room temperature for up to a day.

Frosty WONKA® NERDS® and NESTLÉ® Jingles are available mid-November through December.
