Well Danelle, Doris is a sensible name. I wanted to convey that she is sensible and that it is not a book about porn.
I mean, are you going to take a vagina seriously if her name is Candy?
I actually am very impressed at this answer. You are totally correct I probably would not take anything in the book seriously if you had used that name. Also equally impressive is that you are able to express a topic {aka feminine anatomy} in a way that makes it almost "classy".
