Holy Cow!!! It has been one year without Internet. What a year it has been as well. I won't bore anyone with the details but I am going to try and get this thing up and running once again. I suppose I can add details here and there about our MIA adventures later on.
Anyhow on to the first posted idea...
We just sent away for this and I see that when they asked for the expected start date it only gave 2008 as an option, so we will see if it shows up in the mail or not..
Sunkist is offering a free lemonade stand to those who sign-up at their site for a limited time. The stand will arrive in 4-6 weeks. All you have to do is pledge to give to a favorite charity. This would be a great summertime activity, plus a nice lesson.

My kids will be donating to the local food shelf and also to the local humane society. I really think this is a good idea and a wonderful learning opportunity. I am crossing my fingers on this one.

Thank you for the great links. We have one of these. IT is still in the box behind my dresser. We were never home last summer to use it. We are going to do it this year.
We were going to donate to the animal shelter, but they are currently closed. I like the food pantry idea though.
