Cheeky Monkey's First Birthday is Coming Up

And I am on the hunt for making it the best it can be. I am not the craftiest or the best in the kitchen ( I do hold my own, though). Can you tell it is another sleepless night? So anyone have any great ideas or resources?

I think I will try to post what I find, although I have an inkling that what I post is only "what I dream".

**Update: What the heck was I thinking. Just a simple search for a birthday cake has left my jaw on the floor!!!! How do people create cakes that should be displayed in a museum?**

had to laugh at your "update" lol
The first birthday is so stressful, but my advice is just keep it simple.
Cute cupcakes are always nice, and those are easy to find or make.
I'm following you from the hop. Have a great day.

My daughter's first birthday is coming up as well. When my oldest turned one I went insane. I made a crazy cake, invited a billion people, and stressed myself out. This time I am making simple cupcakes and doing it at a park. I invited a ton of people again, but it is a pot-luck/no presents affair, so it will be a lot less stressful. Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, following u back. I saw this idea I think it was on pottery barn kids DIY of making cake pops(look super easy)then making the very hungry caterpillar with it and putting it in styrofoam covered in moss. I'm thinking of doing it for my youngest looks easy and cute, but he won't be 1 till April. I can find the link if u r interested.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I keep trying to keep it simple but for some reason I get too wrapped up in it, LOL.

I also need to go through a 12-step program for Pinterest. That sight is amazing! And raised the bar on what I "could" be doing.

Thanks all for following. I am just starting with sharing my blog and ideas, so was a bit gunshy. Everyone has been so welcoming and I am loving it.
