Resource: The Burgess bird book for children (1919)

I wanted to post about this resource before it was gone. While the book itself is in public domain and can be downloaded in PDF form at ManyBooks or Internet Archive- matching free resources may not be available.

*Please note that there are different versions of this book available, so the cover depicted may not be the actual book you download, it all depends on where on the internet youdecide to download.*

I am going to be using these when we continue on through our Nature Study, these resources will be very valuable teaching instruments.

The audio (MP3) to The Burgess Bird Book For Children can be downloaded at LibriVox or at Books Should Be Free.

The Kindle version of the book can also be downloaded at Books Should Be Free.

Burgess Bird Book for Children Montessori Cards from That Resource Site: this is a fantastic set of (9) sets with 6 cards each.

A Burgess Bird Book Companion Book: A Fantastic Resource of Information! Includes links to coloring pages, E-nature links, and much more.

The Bird Study Book by T. Gilbert Pearson: another excellent book that can be downloaded in PDF form at Google Books or in Kindle form at Books Should Be Free, this site also offers the audio for the book.
